Firehouse Subs was founded in Jacksonville by two firefighting brothers, Chris Sorensen and Robin Sorensen, who are proud to be born and raised in Duval and still call the area home to this day.


Turns out, people absolutely love the same things they do - the best meats, cheeses, and toppings they can find. Take their Hook & Ladder sub for example, with Virginia honey ham, smoked turkey breast, and melted Monterey Jack. People come back again and again because, unlike other sub places, they steam their meats and cheeses, releasing a rush of flavors, then stuff a serving that's way over code on one of their toasted private-recipe sub rolls. It's a winning combination that satisfies ravenous appetites and the value-conscious alike.


And with more than $3.5 million donated to public safety organizations along the First Coast through the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, Chris and Robin believe that making great subs is not enough; you have to do good, too.
