There’s nothing quite like springtime in the Beaches Town Center—and this year, one of our most beloved traditions is hitting a major milestone. The 40th Annual Dancin’ in the Street returns on Saturday, May 16, 2026, bringing a full day of live music, local vendors, food, and community spirit to the heart of Atlantic and Neptune Beach.

From morning to evening, the streets will come alive as we shut down the roads and transform the Beaches Town Center into an open-air celebration. You can expect 15+ live bands performing across multiple stages, arts and crafts exhibitors, food trucks, beverage tents, and a kids zone that makes it fun for the whole family. It’s the kind of day where you can wander, discover, dance, and stay awhile.

A Local Tradition, 40 Years in the Making

To celebrate this milestone year, we sat down with event organizer Patsy Bishop, owner of Shorelines Gift Shop, to hear how it all began.

Back in 1986, Patsy and a group of local business owners on “the corner” had a simple idea: create an event that would bring the community together and draw more people into the Beaches Town Center. That first year was as grassroots as it gets—three beer kegs, two local bands, and no big stages or production—just a shared vision and a love for the community.

What started as a small gathering has grown into one of the most anticipated events of the year, now welcoming thousands of attendees and showcasing some of the best local talent, food, and creativity our area has to offer.

Come Dance With Us

Four decades later, Dancin’ in the Street is still rooted in the same spirit it started with—community, connection, and a great time. Whether you’ve been coming for years or it’s your first time, this is your invitation to experience one of the Beaches’ most iconic events.

Mark your calendars, bring your friends and family, and get ready to dance in the street!
