Grab a Drink & Stay Awhile at Pete's Bar

There's a gem of a bar located in the Beaches Town Center, locals know and love it, it's Pete's Bar!

Pete's Bar was the first bar open after Prohibition was repealed in Duval County in 1933. The bar is actually older than the city it resides in, Neptune Beach. Neptune Beach was made official in 1930, but a little bar named Jensen's Market was sitting there since the 1920's. Jensen's was renamed to Pete's Bar later down the road after the late Pete Jensen, the original owner. This bar has been passed down for five generations in the same family, and all the original charm is still there.

Locals and visitors alike cherish the authenticity of the hole-in-the-wall bar and wish it'll never change. They've recently updated the bathrooms and added on a backyard porch which is a great addition to the establishment and doesn't take away from the dive bar aesthetic. Whether you're freshly 21 or decades old, Pete's is the place for everyone!

You're sure to have a great night at Pete's playing 25 cent pool or just having a cold one up at the bar.

Stop by Pete's tonight at 117 First Street, Neptune Beach, FL.
